Character Designs for Nan

So my chracters will be a mixture of puppets 2D cut out and 2D digital.

My main character my Nan will be a stop motion puppet, with a hosipal bed and hospictal scene surrounding it.

My 'dream worlds' or 'memories' will be a mixture of 2D dig and cut out. i will be creating silhouette animation and detailed drawings for this.

For my puppet i need to make sure it is easy to animate and effective to the viewer, i dont want it to look too creepy, i want people to empathise with this puppet, relate to it. 'A typical grandma look'

So above is my very first image of my Nan, i drew this a while ago and have had this short in mind for a very long time. 

This is how i remember my Nan whilst in hospital. i then did some drawings on the tablet to see what else i could create quickly and to see if it lead me anywhere.

I also tried some faces using clay to see what was possible.
